It’s 30 by 30 time again. For the last week of June and first week of July our journey goes back to the 23rd of June. year 1998.
On that date we pre-build the first newly designed ST roof system. After months of designing, engineering, fabrication and preparation Prolyte was ready to see if practice would meet the CAD design. It resulted in a successful test build day without major problems.
The size of that particular roof was 20 meters width, 14 meters depth and a clearance of approximately 11 meter. Both sides had additional sound-wings of 6 meters each.
The 8 tower configuration was build from S40T, 40x40cm tower sections. The main grid, ridge bar and gables were assembled from S52V truss modules and the rafters from S36R truss modules.
This successful roof system is nowadays still used a lot at festivals and other events all around the world. The current version is also available with a full integrated scaffolding stage solution and options for side and back stage areas. Due to all of its options, this roof system is still quite popular after 23 years 🤩🤩.
